Department’s details:- Orthopaedics department
No. of doctors:- Available in department are three viz one specialist,one IMO and one junior resident.
Services provided:- Services available are as follows:-
1. Operation theatre services are: Cataract surgery with IOL implantation , pterygium surgery with autografting, glaucoma surgery (trabeculectomy),,intravitreal injections of Antivegf in retina in patients of retinal diseases, lid laceration repair, chalazion incision curettage, foreign body removal, syringing and probing .
2. Opd services:- vision assessment using snellen vision boxes, refraction using autorefractometer, keratometry, retinoscopy, colour vision assessment, slit lamp examination, Direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy for fundus examination of patients, ultrasound A and B scan of eyes, Tonometry, squint assessment and diplopia charting.
3. Special clinics: Cataract and glaucoma clinics.
4. Online e consultation by esanjeevani.
Future plans:To start phacoemulsification surgery in eye department once the phaco machine is procured ,whose procurement is under process.
Procurement of non contact Tonometer and operating microscope with motorized zoom which are under process,so as to have better diagnostic and treatment facilities for IPs and beneficiaries
